Emotional Support Animal (ESA) Letters

Emotional support animals can provide grounding, comfort, and emotional regulation for individuals living with anxiety, trauma, depression, and other mental health challenges. At Ascension Point, we offer comprehensive ESA evaluations and letters for qualifying clients who would benefit clinically from the presence of an emotional support animal.

Our clinicians conduct a clear, ethical assessment that explores your symptoms, environment, and the role an ESA may play in improving your daily functioning. If an ESA is clinically appropriate, we can provide documentation that supports your housing accommodations and outlines your mental health need in accordance with legal and ethical standards.

We prioritize both compassion and clarity, helping you feel confident and supported throughout the process. ESA letters are provided for established clients as part of an integrated mental health treatment approach.

First-time ESA assessments take three sessions at our regular rate or on a sliding-scale payment, and a $50 administrative fee for the letter. Each subsequent renewal will be an additional session and administration fee.
